It's no secret - People across the globe are struggling to grapple with the unprecedented housing crisis. Skyrocketing prices and dwindling availability are pushing architects and developers to discover new ways to address these longstanding issues within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry.
We are in a time where finding a home is becoming increasingly difficult, every possible delay to creating new homes should be eliminated. On July 4, 2024, Struck and REBF invited a wide range of Architects and Developers to discuss how AI can address and conquer many of the longstanding issues that have plagued the AEC Industry within Europe.
The discussion consisted of a plethora of presentations, beginning with the keynote speaker, Stjepan Mikulić - CEO at AI in AEC - who gave a presentation on "Does AI bring any true change, especially for the AEC?" This presentation was followed by Max van Riel at Struck, who discussed how Struck can provide the tools to help them save time and costs. Struck helps architects, developers. and real estate professionals master the maze of regulations. Simply ask the questions you have regarding your plot, and we will find the answer for you including the source. In addition, Struck will perform checks on designs with AI.
Struck was followed by Sander Lijbers at OpenSpace, a global leader in reality capture and AI-assisted analytics for builders. Tom Griffioen at Clappform discussed how AI can analyze the financial and social value of real estate to provide property owners and investors with insight into market trends, risks and social impact. This analysis allows property owners and investors to make more well-informed decisions regarding their property.
Jeroen Coenders at Packhunt discussed the importance of digitizing construction now more than ever. This digitization would help everyone in the AEC industry more effectively reap the benefits of AI in construction and real estate. Stefan Janssen at supRmen, a company that specializes in collecting, digitizing, and analyzing real estate data using AI, emphasized the importance of digitizing the AEC industry. supRmen is a service that collects and converts data into actionable insights for maintenance, damage assessment, and budgeting, leading to cost savings, more efficient and more predictable property management.
To end off the event, our four disucssions were followed by a panel with Arjan Dingste of UNStudio and Huib Boissevain from Annexum.
For Struck, the event was a great success, and more events to further the discussion of AI in the AEC industry are planned for the future.
